Hi, i am Qualified CA from Pakistan and currently working with one of big 4 audit firm. i completed my 4 months secondment period and then joined as permanent in july 07. after expiry of my first work permit my employer obtained my green card in January 08, since then i am working under green card. now i want to change job and i have very good offer from one of leading multinational HFS company in ireland. I believe i can make new application for green card and 12 months restriction does not apply to me. Because green card was my 2nd employment permit? i will appreciate if some body give me clarification on this. Thanks in advance Mohsin		Answer

Hi, When can we apply for Green card renewal ? i.e. 1. Once the existing green card is expired or 2. Before the expiry for exiting green card. If point 1 is true then during green card processing time ( which is around 2 months ) , we will be without any permit/green card but will be employed !!! Another point is Garda immigration card is valid till Green card expiry date, so During renewal period Garda immigration card / Irish visa will be invalid. A employer who sponsored for his employee to apply a labor based green card years ago. And employee's I-485 had been filed and remained unadjudicated ( pending) for more than 180 days till now. But this employer's recent( 2 years) financial status are not good enough to be a qualified employer now. Therefore this employee already has changed his job to new employer using AC 21 portability rule . Question is that this previous employer shall do any action to avoid his any law's responsibility for this employee's application ., such as withdraw or terminate this employee's application, but it still keep this employee has a valid I-485 / I- 140 from his new employer ? Hi, I was from non EU and recently completed(passed) my 4 years of graduation from Dublin City University (Irish University), and now I am on Graduate permit of 6 six months. I got my result for my final year last month and my Graduation cermony will be in November. I got job offer from one company and I fulfil all the requirements of Green Card. But my company is saying that they can’t apply for my Green Card unless I get the Graduate diploma certificate (which I will get on the day of my Graduation cermony in Nov). So my question is that if I submit my results along with the college letter mentioning that I successfully completed all my years and I am due to graduate in November, will that be acceptable for the Green Card application?, Or they really need the Graduate diploma certificate?. Although at this stage there is nothing which can stop me to get my degree certificate in November. Also if my company apply for my Work permit in November will I will be able to get my Green Card in one month because my 6 months Graduate permit is going to expire in December. I am a highly skilled non-EU worker working in Ireland. I am like thousands of other non-EU Nationals plannig to migrate to Austrlia or US or Canada or other developed countries sooner or later. Where We are Guaranteed Citizenship by the Greencard System in these counties. Their economy is much more stronger because of their Greencard System which provides Citizenship to skilled workers like me who form the Backbone of their Economy. Its high time that the Irish Government understands their Stupidity / Foolishness and modify their Greencard System. No guaranteed Citizenship is being provided to any non-EU Nationals here. Irish Government should try to keep these hard working non-EU workers money in their own country. These foreiners should buy houses and be allowed to settle here itself in Ireland. Highly skilled workers form the Backbone of any Developing Economy. Non-EU work here for years & years making money and then due to uncertainity about our Future & Citizenship here are compelled to move over to other safer countries who provide Citizenship as a result Ireland loses millions and billions. Irish Government should try to keep these skilled workers here itself at the earliest. Lots of money made by them are flowing out of this country when they go out from here. How does the Government expect the economy to improve by this. Not too many EU Workers are going to settle down in ireland. They keep moving to other EU countries once the Europian Union funds other EU countries. Who will be bothered of Ireland? Nobody..........not even the Irish Citizen?????? HOPE THE IRISH GOVERNMENT UNDERSTANDS THIS BRAIN DRAIN, MONEY DRAIN. STOPS IN TIME THIS OUT FLOW OF HIGHLY SKILLED NON-EU WORKERS TO OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. GUARANTEE THEM OF CITIZENSHIP IN IRELAND. LET THEM DEVELOP IRELAND INTO A STRONG ECONOMY....... ´CITIZENSHIP´ AND NOT PERMANENT RESIDENCY IS THE CORRECT TERM WE NEEDED ON THE GREENCARD. I lived in the United Kingdom for 4 years and visited Ireland on a few occations and fell in love with the place.I would like to start a family but feel that there is limited oppertunities for me here in S.A. At this stage my #1 priority is to immigrate to Ireland. I'm a Bulk Fuel Tanker Driver working for a international oil company transporting petrol and diesel.I've been driving HGV's for the past 15 years and my licence are the equivelant of you're C+E and can be easily converted. It seems that I do not qualify for a Irish Green Card but will be able to get a work permit if I am able to get a offer of employment from an employer in Ireland. What I would like to know is how will I go about securing a job offer as a HVG driver from an Irish employer while I'm still in South Africa. I've sent my CV and phoned employment agencies in Ireland but have been unsucsessful.It seem the only route is to get a employer to deal with directly. My current situation is the following: I’m studying towards the CIMA qualification and I’m currently working in a company as a trainee Accountant through the CIMA/ACCA programme. I’m currently holding a stamp 1 and have been renewing it every 6 months. I would like to apply for a position within the same company I’m in and they look for a multilingual part qualify accountant, among other skills/ requirements that I fulfil. Hi, My girlfriend is Australian and was in Ireland on a 12 month working holiday visa which has expired. She has been head-hunted and offered a job that is described in the letter of offer of employmet as 'Graphics Designer / Design and Development Technologist'. The letter also states that she has all the required qualifications i.e diploma in Graphics Design etc. She is paying for the Green Card application herself and has filled out all the necessary documentation. We are concerned because she dosent have a degree which seems to be the norm (though not specifically stated), the job title is only partially defined in the GC job title list and the salary will be less than 60k. We cant apply for a regular work permit because the employer cant advertise the position. The department advised to apply anyway as each application is processed based on individual merit. About the expiration of a green card permit. I understood from the site that after the expiration of the green card permit (2 years), the GNIB officer may be able to give a stamp 4 depending on the circumstances. Is this the case only if the green card is expired?, or is it the case if I have been present for over 2 years by a green card permit? Because my situation is that I have held 2 green card permits due to switching jobs every year. ie, my question is, do I have to wait till my second green card expires ( 3 years) to get stamp 4? or will I get it after 2 years from holding any green card?
